Online poker freerolls are tournaments that charge no buy-in nor entry fee. They are hosted by most internet cardrooms basically to draw more players to their sites.

Nonetheless, prizes are real. There are online poker freerolls where rewards are seats to the WSOP or some large major poker tournaments. Other freerolls give pool prizes that run to as much as $5 million.

Such huge prizes are not granted daily, however. Most daily scheduled online poker freerolls have much smaller prizes, however, but they are still a great way to win cash from nothing.

Some sites also reward players with high win records in real money tournaments for a defined time period. The time period is a month, generally, but quarterly and semi-annual selections are also done.
