Some believe that sex brings them luck in poker. So when they are about to play in a poker tournament, they make it a point to have sex first. Others maintain that this superstitious belief is not really a good luck charm, that is just a way to release whatever tension or stress you are having because of the upcoming poker game.
A number of online poker players believe in lucky color. Some online poker rooms let their players choose which color of chips they want to use. That is why online poker players choose their lucky color to be the color of their chips. They believe that if they are not using their lucky color, they are bound to lose.
When people play poker at home, some of them bring out their lucky amulets to the table. They believe that these things give them better hands. Some others even have rituals before a poker game or mannerism before each turn. However, mannerisms are dangerous because it can be counted as your tell.
